A new musical inspired by Don Cornelius’ iconic music variety series “Soul Train” is coming to Broadway.
“Soul Train: The Musical,” with The Roots’ Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson on board as one of the executive producers, will feature 20 songs from the 70s, and will focus on the story of Cornelius creating the show, which became a showcase for soul, rock, R&B and, later, hip-hop music.
