R.E.M. is doing their part for victims of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. The band has dropped a previously unreleased song, “Fascinating,” benefiting Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in the islands via humanitarian organization Mercy Corps.

“Fascinating” was originally supposed to appear on 2001’s “Reveal,” but despite being Michael Stipe’s favorite cut from the recording sessions the track was cut at the last minute. Then, Stipe and bandmates Peter Buck and Mike Mills rerecorded the song in 2004 for “Around The Sun”… but it was cut once again.

Fans can stream the song for free on R.E.M.’s bandcamp page, with downloads available for a minimum donation of $2. Proceeds go directly to Mercy Corps’ emergency response and recovery efforts in the Bahamas. Check out a clip of the song to the right.
