We’re halfway through 2020 and it seems a lot of people have been relying on classic rock music to get them through what has certainly been a trying year. Nielsen recently released their mid-year stats report, and classic artists are the most streamed of the year.
Overall, the most-streamed artist of 2020 so far is The Beatles, followed by Queen, Imagine Dragons, Fleetwood Mac, and Metallica.
When it comes to rock albums, Queen’s “Greatest Hits” is the most streamed of 2020, followed by Elton John’s “Diamonds,” Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Chronicle, Vol. 1,” Journey’s “Greatest His” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumors.”
As for streamed songs, three classic tunes make the Top Five, including Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” at two, with Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” at three and the Eagles’ “Hotel California” at five.
