The Kinks are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their classic album “Lola Versus Powerman and The Moneygoround, Part One,” a.k.a. “Lola,” with a new reissue. The new release will come out on December 11th in several formats, including a deluxe box set that features three CDs and two seven-inch discs, with tons of bonus material.
The box set will feature a remastered version of the 1970 album, as well as B-sides, BBC recordings, and previously unreleased demos, outtakes, and alternate mixes. There is also Ray Davies’ new remix of “Any Time,” renamed “The Follower/Any Time 2020.” The seven-inches are of singles “Lola” and “Apeman.”
The set also features reproduced artwork, full band press photos, a 60-page hardcover book with extensive notes, rare photos, and other memorabilia. Check out the announcement above.
