Tips to make this weekend’s time change easier on you

Some people love that Saturday night in the fall when we set our clocks back and get an “extra hour” of sleep, but the time change can have negative effects on our bodies, especially in this time of year where you can get sick easier. Some ways you can take on the time change without suffering after is:

  • Boost your vitamin D levels – Eat foods like wild salmon, eggs, dairy, and mushrooms.
  • Wash your sheets – Wash away any sickness that may be lingering in your bed to give yourself an advantage… and plus nothing feels as good as going to sleep in clean sheets.
  • Stick to your normal bedtime – After we set the clocks back an hour, your brain still thinks it’s an hour later than it really is, so you’ll feel tired earlier in the evening. But hang in there until you normally go to sleep so you help your body adapt to the new schedule.
